Housing
Bottom of the housings are closed. There are no
additional cover plates or polymers. This gives the
housing extra strength against pull out and push forces.
Electrostatic coating on the housing is performed with
Superharp C materials, which prevents corrosion, scratch
and wear. The coating material is environmentally
friendly, water based and has low toxicity. The housing
is machined from SAE 1015 materials. This
material allows welding and machining of the housing to optimum accuracy and strength.
Computerized Automatic Machines are used for perfection
and zero defect.
Dust Boot
Designed for protecting the joint from contamination.
Two-convex dust boot helps internal structure to stay
firm and durable against corrosion, tear, dust and
temperature variation.
There are no holes, gaps or valves for contaminates to
enter and cause premature joint failure. CR 60 material
is used for flexibility and overall toughness.
Ball Stud
The ball’s surface roughness is minimized allowing for
the smoothest possible drive. Pre-lubricated with
optimum amount of grease. SAE 5140 material is hardened
(heat
treatment) and machined for
perfection and zero-defect resulting in maximized corrosion
resistance.
Ball Stud Wrench Flats and/or
Allen Wrench Sockets
For ease of installation, the ball stud
has been designed with wrench flats and/or allen wrench
sockets based on the vehicle suspension system designs.
Polymer Bearing
Enhanced bearing design resists radial/axial and
vibrating forces. Designed with channels on inner walls
and extra grease storage for maximizing grease flow. POM Material
ensures performance during changing operating
conditions.
Upper and Lower Ring
Specially designed rings prevent dust boot tear. Acting
like a spring, they optimally maintain the correct
clamping force. Even when the ball stud position
changes, these rings do not allow contaminants to get
inside the cavity of the dust boot.
The upper ring is made of polymer, while the lower ring
is made of
metal. Both these materials remain unaffected during
changing operating conditions.
