Deeza Chassis Parts new innovative
patented design completely eliminates the problems
of serviceable chassis parts infiltrating dirt, moisture and other contaminants into
the
internal cavity of the dust boot.
Currently, existing serviceable
ball-and-socket type joint chassis parts release excess
grease from the boot cavity through a grease relief hole
on the dust boot or through an offset opening channel in
the upper boot wall. In many current designs, the lower
boot walls are not connected to the body of the part
leaving even more room for contamination. While all
these designs provide for grease relief, they all have
the problem of allowing outside contaminants to enter
into the cavity of the dust boot when the position of
the ball stud changes. The more the ball stud leans away
from the center, the larger the grease relief hole
expands increasing the risk of contamination which can
lead to premature wear and failure.
Deeza’s revolutionary design allows
grease to release through a uniquely engineered
component placed between the dust boot and the body.
This design feature results in complete protection from
contamination, regardless of the location and movement
of the ball stud.

competitor design 1
To
provide grease relief, the lower boot walls are
not connected to the body. In today's vehicles,
this type of older design does not supply adequate protection against
contamination.

competitor design 2
Grease relief is provided
through a grease relief hole on
the dust boot. This design is somewhat better than
the design at the left. However, the more the ball stud
leans away from the center, the larger the
grease relief hole expands increasing the risk
of contamination which can lead to premature
wear and failure.

New innovative patented design
Revolutionary
design allows grease to release through a uniquely
engineered component placed between the dust boot and
the body. This design feature results in complete
protection from contamination, regardless of the
location and movement of the ball stud.

This unique development consists of a specially
designed dust boot with skirt and two Polyacetal
components that form the grease relief ports. The
apertures on these grease ports are completely closed by
the skirt of the dust boot providing an isolated
internal cavity.
When additional grease is injected into the joint, the
grease is forced through specified channels on
the bearing. This action lubricates the ball stud. The
excess grease pressure bends
dust
boot skirt providing one-way grease relief route.
During
normal operation,
your
vehicle ball studs lean away from center. Competitor
designs 1 and 2 experience expansion and contraction of
the grease relief hole in the dust boot. In time,
contaminants
infiltrates
into the internal cavity of the dust boot. This can
cause damage to the spherical shape of the ball, which
in turn leads to a condition where the ball and the
bearing cannot mate compounding the problem. This
situation can lead to unwanted noise, premature wear and
eventual part failure.
Deeza’s revolutionary design allows
grease to release through the uniquely engineered
component placed between the dust boot and the
body. This design feature results in complete protection
from contamination, regardless of the location and
movement of the ball stud. |
